Design Principal to Boost Conversion Rate

Before beginning to create your new business website, it is essential to keep everything well planned and down on paper. A structured web design plan would ensure that your website is well-designed, relevant, structured and competent enough to provide compelling online presence. Some of the key principals to keep in mind while redesigning a website to increase conversion rate are as follows:

  • Design: The business might have changed or entered newer avenues. Does your web design reflect the new changes to the business or is it still hanging on to the older feel, images, content, products and services? New design principles, programming languages and interface conventions have developed. This has given way to newer easy to use and operate applications for the users. It is essential that the new web design should reflect the quality of your brand. If it does not, it is headed for extinction.

  • Content: Like the design, the content too needs to be refreshed. What was relevant a year back might not be relevant or available with the business anymore. Even if the business remains same, a new approach with creative and crisp content is always welcome. New images, text and well-written SEO friendly content will attract more traffic and in turn increase the conversion rates. Content is always a catalyst of organic business growth.

  • Target Audience oriented: the new website design should be target audience oriented. The business might have added new verticals or horizontals. This means that the target audience might have widened or changed. The design and content should be relevant to the current target audience.

  • User-driven: The overall website design should be user oriented. Rather than speaking just about the business products and services, it should engage the user in discussions and forums that would let the users actively participate. This would enable more consumers to return to the business and thus generate more leads.
